The AgCAREERSTART team are pleased to welcome our Training Coordinator, Rod Morris. Rod brings more than 26 years of hands-on experience from mixed farming and irrigation enterprises across the Narrabri and Moree districts of New South Wales. With a strong background in full-time farming and grazing operations, he understands the realities, challenges and rewards of life on the land. Following his time on farm, Rod became an instructor with Queensland Agricultural Training Colleges, helping shape the next generation of agricultural professionals. After the colleges closed in 2019, he stepped into the role of Industry Skills Advisor (ISA), providing strategic advice to the Department of Education, Small Business and Training and supporting improved education and employment pathways across agriculture, forestry, aquaculture and animal care. Rod is passionate about sharing knowledge, building confidence in young people, and strengthening our rural industries. He believes education, self-belief and a positive mindset are key ingredients for success, and he’s excited to support our participants and host producers on their journey. Welcome, Rod!
